How to choose among these internal tool builders?

    by vincent552 ·

    Hey Community:

Recently we are doing some research about low-code internal tool builders for our business.
So we have found the following options as reference:
    -Retool
    -Appsmith
    -ILLA Cloud
    -Budibase
    -Tooljet

We tested ILLA Cloud and Appsmith at the moment and the Retool price is pretty high so we would like to hear some feedback for Retool users to help us make up our minds.
Our occasion will have a lot of visitors and seems only ILLA Cloud won’t charge for that. Would love to hear about your experiences in making the decision.

    Thank you!

How to choose and what to choose.

      How to choose:
      – make a shortlist based on your requirements for such a tool
      – do a representative trial project in the top 3 from your shortlist
      – choose what you find the best for you, based on the experiences in the trial applicaation you made or had made

What to choose: impossible to say now.

When faced with the decision of choosing among various internal tool builders, it’s important to consider several key factors to ensure you make an informed choice that aligns with your organization’s needs. Here are some considerations to help you in the decision-making process:

Purpose and Requirements: Begin by clearly defining the purpose of the internal tool you need and identifying the specific requirements it must fulfill. Understand the problems you aim to solve or the processes you want to streamline. This will help you evaluate whether a tool builder can meet your unique needs.

Customization and Flexibility: Assess the level of customization and flexibility offered by each tool builder. Determine whether they allow you to tailor the tool to your specific requirements and easily adapt it as your needs evolve over time. Look for builders that provide a wide range of customization options and a scalable framework.
